Receptionist (Part-Time)
Monday–Friday, 12:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The State Bar is seeking a courteous, professional, and service‑oriented Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment while ensuring guests and callers are directed efficiently and respectfully.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage lobby security by screening and admitting visitors
• Greet and direct visitors; ensure sign‑in/out and manage visitor badges
• Answer and route incoming calls; forward general mailbox messages
• Receive and direct deliveries
• Secure and close the facility at the end of the workday
• Maintain awareness of individuals restricted from entering the State Bar
• Provide clerical support to staff as needed
Qualifications
• High school diploma
• Prior customer service and/or receptionist experience
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a pleasant, professional demeanor
Working Conditions
• Non‑exempt position under FLSA
• Part‑time schedule: Monday–Friday, 12:30 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Occasional additional hours required during quarterly meetings
Annual salary range: $21,862 - $23,471 for a 22.5-hour work week.
