The tragic apparent suicide of State Bar member Cheslie Kryst has saddened the State Bar officers, staff, and, no doubt, the membership at large. Although inactive at the time of her death, Ms. Kryst, a former  Miss USA, was a member of the State Bar since 2017. Her talent and insight were recognized in 2019, when she was asked to make remarks at the celebration of the North Carolina Supreme Court’s 200th Anniversary. You can access those remarks here.
