The North Carolina State Bar will provide its first official live streaming of a State Bar Council meeting on Friday, January 18, via Facebook Live. Streaming begins at 8:30 AM at with remarks anticipated from Chief Justice Mark Martin in addition to the council agenda. Lawyers and members of the public are invited to tune in.

The State Bar Council is the Bar's governing body. It consists of 61 councilors who are elected by the lawyers in their home communities. Additionally, four officers elected by the members of the council provide leadership, as do three nonlawyer public members who are appointed by the governor.
