Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Department: Administration
Immediate Supervisor: Assistant Executive Director

Purpose of Job: Provide IT and technical support to the organization through direct troubleshooting and collaboration with managed service providers (MSPs).
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Providing on-site, phone, and remote technical support and troubleshooting for end-user technical issues related to applications, network connectivity, printers, phones, laptops, and desktops.
- Configuring, deploying, and supporting IT hardware and software on end-user computers across the organization.
- Collaborating and interfacing with MSPs to ensure that service level agreements are met.
- Maintaining inventory databases to track State Bar software, licenses, and equipment as it is deployed, installed, upgraded, and/or replaced.
- Developing and maintaining annual IT budget in collaboration with the assistant executive director.
- Performing user account administration in Active Directory and other internal software applications.
- Implementing patches and updates to operating systems and other software as necessary in conjunction with MSPs.
- Assisting with setup and operation of audio/visual requirements throughout the building and troubleshoots malfunctions.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Accountability and Authority: Position is accountable to the assistant executive director. Opportunity exists for advancement to management/supervisory role over time.
Desired Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in IT field or other degree with equivalent IT experience and industry certifications.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar or closely related position doing technical support, troubleshooting, and repair of hardware and software.
- Experience dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Proven experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems.
- Must be customer service oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Practical knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and common protocols.
- Practical knowledge of routers, firewalls, Office 365, and SharePoint.
- Practical knowledge of multi-functional devices and scanning equipment.
- Knowledge of Crestron audio/visual equipment or similar, transferrable experience.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of deploying, replacing, and moving IT hardware.
- Willingness to complete a criminal background check, credit check, and pre-employment skills assessment.
Working Conditions:
- Position is non-exempt in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act
- Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday, one-hour lunch break
- Location: Begin in office full-time; some remote work may be possible
- Overtime: Occasional, paid
- Travel: seldom
