The adopted ethics opinions of the North Carolina State Bar are public records. If you wish to reproduce an ethics opinion, you may do so without requesting permission. You must, however, include a correct citation or note that the material is the property of the North Carolina State Bar.

Administrative Rules of the State Bar

The Administrative Rules of the North Carolina State Bar are public records. If you wish to reproduce them, you may do so without requesting permission. You must, however, include a correct citation or note that the material is the property of the North Carolina State Bar.

Journal Articles

Articles that appear in the North Carolina State Bar Journal are copyrighted. Therefore, if you wish to reproduce an article, you must first request reprint permission. To do so, contact the editor and specify what you would like to reprint, in which edition the article appeared, and how and when you plan to use the material. If reprint permission is granted, you must note that the material is the property of the North Carolina State Bar and the article is reprinted with the permission of the North Carolina State Bar .
